Ergonomic risk assessment driver and vehicle


We undertake ergonomic risk assessments for drivers with a musculoskeletal disorder to determine if the vehicle used is suitable for the driver being assessed.

We also carry out return to work assessments

 

 

 

Reason

For employees that spend long periods of time driving, it is essential that his or her vehicle is suitable for the task - this assesssment can be coupled with home and mobile working

Employers have a duty under the Management of Health and Safety Regulations to undertake a suitable risk assessment that work areas are suitable for the worker. A car or van is often used as a secondary and increasingly the primary work area.

Report

The report will detail the medical condition of the driver, how the condition impacts upon his or her work, the job and task, the vehicle set up and the erognomic features, and will take into consideration what tasks are carried out in the vehicle and elsewhere, the report will then detail recommendation
