Risk assessments for expectant mothers


We carry out ergonomic risk assessments  for expectant mothers who use Display Screen Equipment (DSE) .

Expectant mothers assessment 

Reason

To comply with current legislation and to ensure that expectant mothers are not exposed to hazards known to be a risk for expectant mothers

The assessment is a standard assessment but utilises the 4EQ model to ensure all aspects of the expectant mothers needs are assessed

Our assessments are also undertaken when a GP or Midwife has made specific comments about the expectant mothers condition

Duration 30 mins to one hour
Location  Individual's primary and secondary work areas

 

Report

Covering the workstation and summary of findings with appropriate actions to be taken.

An expectant mother may require postural aids or alterations to her workstation,  adjustments or changes to her task. If this is identified at the assessment or is likely to be required, it will be detailed in ergonomic report.
