DSE seating - specialist ergonomic assessments

Ergonomic seating assessment

We are instructed by consultants and occupational health phyicians to carry out specialist ergonomic seating and workplace assessments.

If you have a member of staff that requires a specialist ergonomic chair as requested by his or her medical advisor, our seating assessor (an ergonomist) will be able to advise you on what type of seat is suitable. Often there are many other aspects of the workplace and workstation that may need to be addressed our ergonomic assessment would consider these and advise in our report.

We are independent of any seating company and so our recommendations will be 100 per cent. unbiased. In many instances specialist seating is not required and others issues are the cause of the discomfort or pain.

Client comment

As a back pain sufferer and someone with a long standing history of work related upper limb disorder, I started my new job with some trepidation. The chair and desk I was allocated and use of a laptop sent alarm bells ringing loudly. Fortunately, I knew Duncan Abbott of enricoSmog as I had attended courses with his company. I was confident that he could provide me with a disability risk assessment and help me identify a way to work safely within my new work environment. He came over to my new office in Wimbledon and carried out the assessment quickly and submitted the report very fast. I now have a safe, comfortable workstation and confidence that I am protected from any worsening of my condition. Thanks Duncan.
