Return to work assessments
PLACES ON THIS SEMINAR ARE VERY LIMITED
An essential seminar for risk assessors and for those advisors involved in the return to work employees wellbeing.
The seminar is the only one of its kind given by an experienced ergonomist who is a national adviser to a wide range of Government bodies including the HSE.
The seminar covers:
- Latest research relating to RTW and what other companies are doing for their RTW employees - this can be used as a benchmark
- the Equality Act and its effect on risk assessments and risk assessors
- using short case studies, examples of potential discrimination in relation to risk assessments for expected mothers, older workers, and disabled workers and other groups of workers are considered
- delegates will learn how to use our new risk assessment tool for the assessment of workers that come under the Equality Act or RTW
- three short case studies are worked through so that delegates can understand the risk assessment process for workers with cognitive, sensory or physical impairment
- Writing a report and what should go in it
Who should attend?
All those involved in risk assessment and employee wellbeing and wish to learn good practice when undertaking risk assessments and ensuring that the assessments are based on best practice

About the Seminar leader
Duncan Abbott is Principal Ergonomist at enricoSmog ergonomic practitioners, and has undertaken 000’s of assessments for workers that come under the Equality Act. Duncan advises and works with many Government Departments (Dept of Work and Pensions, Health and Safety Executive etc), public and private companies, and organisations. He has written many articles on workers that come under the Equality Act
