enricoSmog ergonomic practitioners recently carried out over 150 individual risk assessments for electric sit-stand desks that have been installed in our new offices. They provided an excellent service and thoroughly professional in approach and reporting. I thoroughly recommend their services.

Francis Riley, Occupational Health Manager, Centrica Storage Ltd

We have carried out all types of standing work assessments in offices, service areas, and industrial environments and offer a high-level assessment and training service.

If you are undecided on whether sit-stand work is the best way forward to avoid sedentary work, we will give you the latest advice.

If you have just introduced sit-stand working then you will need to assess your worker as there a lot of risks associated with standing work, and to avoid introducing a new set of hazards that increase the risk of ill health, it makes sense to carry out a qualified assessment and give users training based on the latest scientific research relating to sit-stand work.

If you are uncertain on what training and advice you should be giving your sit-stand or standing workers for example:

What type of tasks are best done sitting? What tasks are best standing?
How long should I stand for?
How do I stand to avoid injury? What type of injuries can occur?
Do I need an anti-fatigue mat? If so, what type? How do you use them? Do they work?
How do I set the working heights? As there are no longer fixed heights.

Our assessment, consultancy and training will ensure that you and your staff are given the latest guidance based on the latest scientific research, legislation and best practice.

If you have installed desks we can do follow up analysis using body discomfort surveys to determine if any problems are occurring and then determine the cause of the problem so that corrective action can be taken.

We have carried out sit-stand and standing work assessments in all types of environments and include:
